Obscene, gratuitous or inappropriate material will be automatically eliminated from the competition.Īny film that includes main dialogue that is not English must be submitted with English subtitles.Ī panel of judges made up of educators in film as well as industry professionals will be evaluating submissions to Frame by Frame. Please remember that this is a competition that includes high school filmmakers. Adaptations, spoofs, and satires will be admitted, however blatant plagiarism will not qualify for the festival. Your film must have been completed within the last two years, be no shorter than 60 seconds, and no longer than 8 minutes including credits. Older students should submit in the “University” categories.Īpplicants may submit one film per category. Any currently-enrolled high school student (grades 9-12 in U.S., years 10-13 in U.K., grade 10-12 in Canada, year 9-12 in Australia or equivalent in other countries) in public, private, or homeschool may submit films in the “Youth” categories.
